Inorbit Malls Opens Largest Retail Destination in Andhra Pradesh
Inorbit Malls, a K Raheja Corp entity, opened its Visakhapatnam mall to the public on 27th March, 2026. The 1.4 million sq ft development, located in Salagramapuram, is the largest in Andhra Pradesh.
Scale and Brand Mix
The mall houses an expansive mix of fashion, footwear, jewellery and watches, F&B, lifestyle and fitness, perfumes and cosmetics, spa and salons, gifting, eyewear, electronics, entertainment, and a world-class multiplex, bringing together over 350 brands under one roof. Named retailers include Shoppers Stop, H&M, Timezone, AAA (Asian Allu Arjun) Cinemas, Pantaloons, Max, GANT, Birkenstock, American Eagle, Forever New, Samsung, Skechers, and Malabar Gold.
The mall features the region's largest single floor plate, along with seven levels of parking, and entertainment forms a key pillar, with over five Family Entertainment Centres, 8 screen cinemas making it the highest concentration in the region alongside a curated selection of premium food and beverage offerings.
Execution and Investment
The mall has been delivered in a record time of just 31 months. The project represents a significant partnership between the Visakhapatnam Port Authority and K. Raheja Corp and entails an investment of ₹600 crore in the first phase. The project has generated direct employment for 3,000 people and indirect opportunities for 10,000 more.
Sustainability Features
Sustainability remains central to the project, which has been thoughtfully designed around two heritage trees aged over 90 years, one of which was honoured with the Vrikshacharya Award 2025 by Infinite Green Solutions. The mall has also received the British Council Safety Awards and a pre-construction gold certification under the LEED rating system, underscoring its commitment to environmental responsibility, health and safety standards.
Launch and Leadership
The inauguration ceremony was held on 23rd March and included traditional rituals such as a pooja, diya lighting, and a Kuchipudi performance. The event was attended by senior officials, including Dr. Madhaiyaan Angamuthu, IAS, Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Authority; Smt. Roshni A Korati, IAS, Deputy Chairman; MLA Shri P Vishnu Kumar Raju; Neel Raheja, Group President, K Raheja Corp; and Rajneesh Mahajan, CEO, Inorbit Malls. Union Cabinet Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal also conveyed his wishes virtually.

Since launching its first mall in Malad, Mumbai in 2004, Inorbit has grown to a network of 7 malls (6 operational, 1 under construction), attracting over 22.57 million annual footfalls. K Raheja Corp was founded in 1956 by Chandru Raheja. The company is a property developer with interests in commercial and residential projects, malls and hospitality across multiple cities and owns the brands Mindspace, Commerzone, Crossword Bookstores and Shoppers Stop.
