Chalet Hotels Recognized for Global ESG Leadership

Chalet Hotels received Sustainability Hospitality of the Year (Diamond) and its ESG lead Janhavi Parab received ESG/CSR Professional of the Year (Gold) at the Global ESG Awards 2026. The honors reflect sustained momentum in the company's ownership, development, asset management and operation of high-end hotels and resorts in India, comprising 11 operating hotels and resorts with 3,389 keys across brands including JW Marriott, The Westin and Novotel.

Scaling Global Sustainability Benchmarks

The awards arrive on the heels of Chalet Hotels achieving an S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) score of 82 in 2025, placing it second globally among 80 companies in the Hotels, Resorts & Cruise Lines category. The company's Environment score reached 85 and Social score hit 83, marking a 15-point improvement from the prior year's score of 67.

Infrastructure and Commitments

The company has approximately 1,200 rooms under development and is expanding its commercial real estate portfolio from 2.4 million square feet to 3.3 million square feet. Chalet Hotels is the first hospitality company globally to commit to all three key Climate Group initiatives—RE100, EP100 and EV100.

Embedded Operational Focus

Sustainability is part of the company's vision statement and integrated into design, implementation and operations across the lifecycle of developed and under-development assets. The Westin Hyderabad HITEC City and Novotel Pune operate with 100% electric vehicle fleets for guests and EV charging stations across all properties, while all properties maintain zero liquid discharge.

K Raheja Corp is a property developer across commercial and residential projects, malls and hospitality in multiple Indian cities, and the second largest commercial developer in the country. Under the Mindspace banner, K Raheja Corp operates Mindspace Office Parks, a real estate investment trust. Founded in 1956 by Chandru Raheja, K Raheja Corp was formed after a split between Raheja brothers.
