Chalet Hotels (K Raheja Corp Group) Scales Up 'Parivartan' ESG Platform, Targets 5,000 Hospitality Livelihoods by 2030 with The Job Plus and THSC
Chalet Hotels Announces Major Expansion of Parivartan ESG Initiative
Chalet Hotels Limited announced a major scale-up of its ESG platform, Parivartan by Chalet, moving beyond traditional CSR to build a sustainable, industry-wide talent pipeline. Launching the next phase of its strategic partnership with The Job Plus (TJP) and the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), Chalet Hotels has set an ambitious target to enable 5,000 sustainable livelihoods by 2030.
Program Scope and Geographic Focus
The initiative connects surging industry demand with untapped talent from underserved communities, with a particular focus on sourcing and skilling youth from Maharashtra and Uttarakhand through structured training and formal employment pathways. Women make up 76 percent of participants.
Foundation: First Phase Results
The first phase of this collaboration, completed over three years, successfully transitioned 330 young people into formal employment with certifications aligned to the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF). For many candidates, they are first-generation professionals entering the formal workforce, transforming their own and their families' economic trajectories.
Industry Context and Strategic Rationale
As India's hospitality sector experiences unprecedented growth, building a robust and highly capable workforce has become a top priority for the industry. "The growth of Indian hospitality depends on expanding beyond traditional talent pools," said Gaurav Singh, Chalet chief operating officer. "Through Parivartan, our partnership with The Job Plus and THSC connects industry demand with targeted training and aims to support 5,000 livelihoods by 2030."
Partner Roles and Standards
"By using National Skills Qualifications Framework standards, the program helps ensure young people entering the workforce have globally recognized skills," said Rajan Bahadur, THSC CEO. THSC will conduct assessments of all enrolled candidates and certify them under nationally recognized standards, ensuring credibility and industry alignment.
