Chalet Hotels Appoints Shwetank Singh as Managing Director and CEO
Chalet Hotels Limited has approved the appointment of Shwetank Singh as the CEO of the Company with effect from February 1, 2026. His term of appointment runs for three years through January 31, 2029.
Singh's Background and Role
Shwetank is B.Tech from IIT and MBA - Finance & Marketing from Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) with around 26 years of experience. He was Head of Business with Golden Sands LLC, Dubai, prior to joining Chalet Hotels Limited in August 2023 as its Chief Growth & Strategy Officer. Singh was inducted into the board as an executive director on October 24 as a part of a well-structured succession plan.
Before becoming Managing Director & CEO at Chalet Hotels Limited, Shwetank Singh served as Executive Director and a member of the Board, where he led projects, business development, operations, asset management, and ESG functions.
Dr. Sanjay Sethi's Transition
Dr. Sanjay Sethi will transition to a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director on the same date, marking a strategic shift in leadership and expansion. Sethi served as Managing Director & CEO of Chalet Hotels Limited from 2018, leading the company's successful public listing in February 2019.
Over the past two years, the company has been thoughtfully preparing for the future of leadership at Chalet. In alignment with a well-crafted succession plan developed in collaboration with the Board, Sethi had communicated his intent not to seek an extension of his current term, which concludes on January 31, 2026.
