Chalet Hotels Strengthens Board with Gautam Mehra Appointment

Chalet Hotels has appointed Gautam Mehra as an Additional and Independent Director for a five-year term from July 17, 2026, to July 16, 2031, pending shareholder approval.

Profile and Experience

Mehra brings four decades of experience, including leadership roles at PwC and current memberships on SEBI committees. A qualified Chartered Accountant and Lawyer, Mehra is also a Certified Coach and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and INSEAD.

His career includes over a decade of entrepreneurship building a boutique professional services practice and more than two decades as a partner at PwC. During his tenure at PwC, he led the India Tax and Regulatory practice and the Asset Management Sector, serving on the Core India Leadership Team and managing global strategic client relationships.

The new director has advised multiple funds invested in India and worked with multinational corporations and leading Indian business groups on investments, business transformation, acquisitions, and succession planning.

Board and Governance Context

The Board approved the appointment based on the recommendation of the Compensation, Nomination and Remuneration Committee. He is not related to any of the existing directors of Chalet Hotels Limited.

The Company's vision and ethos is supported by a strong and independent board, chaired by Mr Hetal Gandhi, who is also an independent director. Four out of the seven board members are independent with varied backgrounds from travel to finance.
